What better time than International Women’s Day to celebrate seven amazing women who inspire us to get outdoors and get active?
International Women’s Day happens every year on March 8th, drawing attention to the need for gender equality while celebrating inspiring, creative and innovative women who have made political and social strides. We’d like to use the day to honour women we see getting after the everyday – living in the moment; taking advantage of our great Canadian backyard and the world abroad; leading active lifestyles and making strides in sport.
Follow them for some daily inspiration and to renew your love for Canadian winter.

Same bat place, same bat problem. Lena and I headed back to the Marriott Basin again yesterday. We’d hoped to have a slightly more aggressive ski day than my previous day out, but as we skinned our way up this talus slope we felt a very “unsettling settlement”. We turned around mighty fast with our bat wings tucked and headed for the safety of the trees. It’s still pretty touchy out there! #mecambassador #noplacetoofar (or close!) #mountainvision A photo posted by Sarah Leanne Hart (@sarahleannehart) on

Got to play around in the #AthabascaGlacier cave this weekend! The base of Mount Athabasca is peeking through the opening – Athabasca and Andromeda always look too magnificent & too intimidating when I pass through the #IcefieldsParkway . Maybe this is the year to top those summits! #myjasper #bigmtndreams #poweryourpassion
